If you’ve passed through the grocery store lately, splayed across the tabloids is how Queen Elizabeth is down to her last nickel and all the Royals are suffering, in need of jobs and all that. Well, clearly that is very far from the truth and more or less an outright lie, but it does sell papers. Her’s the low down from a reputable source, Town And Country, they have no reason to lie or make up stories, that would be unseemly.
“The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall’s Annual Report, which was released yesterday and covers the period of April 2014 to March 2015, shows that the heir to the throne made $31.1 million in income from the Duchy of Cornwall, the estate established in 1337 that he uses to cover the costs of his and his family’s livelihoods. The portion of the fund covering William, Kate, and Prince Harry’s allowances totals $4.6 million.”
Want more great Royal coverage for us Yanks that we’re just not able to do given our awful budget – Town And Country is our American version of Tatler, sort of.
