Here’s the question we keep asking ourselves the past few weeks as more hopefuls step forward to announce their candidacy for and campaigns to run for President, Do we need to and should we cover the political circus that has driven through town and will continue for the next year, 16 months? On the one hand covering politics with our voice and opinions probably is going to not add all that much to anything the rest of the public doesn’t already know or have access to from other more well funded and well written perspectives, we don’t have the people-power. On the flip side, being a little tongue in cheek, how could we not avoid it, jumping at the bit to make fun of everyone it seems who is clambering to be heard, none of whom we feel are in any way capable of actually running the country, or should be. Then of course there is the side that asks, maybe we should just butt out altogether and stick to our slightly lighthearted approach to our opinions and keeps politics out of it.
Well, we’ve come to the decision, that we will be covering the presidential race, in our own way. More than likely everyone is not qualified and we’ll do our best to make that opinion of ours heard. Good luck to us, we’ll probably need it.
