How’s that for an inflammatory headline, aimed purely as potential click bait. But indeed we’re hoping maybe it can help open up a wider discussion on the topic of Trophy Hunting, which is all over the news after the killing of Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe, the creepy Dr. Jan Seski and all the young ladies who seem to have a thing for hunting (weird). Should trophy hunting be illegal? Can we have a rational discussion on this? So lets pull up an old article on the younger Trump sons hunt and a reasonable article from Forbes – TMZ Is Wrong About Donald Trump Jr. and Safari Hunting – there is “good and responsible” trophy hunting. When certain animal populations get out of control, when there are sick populations, hunting in a formalized setting with Game Wardens should be okay and can be helpful to the general community over all. However, hunting on private lands, baiting and poaching is obviously not okay.
We’re not big fans of Donald Trump senior and we really hope that his kids do not take up his father’s flag waving loud mouthed **** personality, but I think that there’s a good balance to be learned from Trump JRs versus the crowd mentioned above.
We’re open to the argument of saving animals by hunting them, but with strong reservations that it is done responsibly, and more importantly, openly.
