It’s a sad state of affairs when you have “Fresco Envy”, have any of you as our readers ever heard of that? Have ben accused of such? Probably not. Our guess is its been maybe 400 years since last anyone had fresco envy, well, it’s coming back to haunt me. Not because I have bland frescos, more because I have zero frescos. And for some reason Sotheby’s keeps on emailing me with updates, or maybe I just find my way on to their website, who knows… with properties in and around Italy, specifically Rome that have the most spectacular frescos – well, fair to be said, spectacular for a private residence.
The historic Villa Grazioli is up for sale, with 62 some odd bedrooms and 70 full baths, the Sotheby’s Site is very specific about all that. It is and has been a hotel, and is listed at only $16,500,000 – oddly enough if you’re a hotel buyer that’s only about $275,000 per key, which is basically unheard of in the US.
To add insult to injury they have even suggested that it would make a magnificent private home. Yes, indeed it would.
