A trend that has played out for a number of years now, that we have been long been in love with is the gentle modernization of farm houses and barns, creating bright, warm and comfortable living spaces that are functional and cozy all at the same time. In many ways this is easier said than done.
We found this beautifully executed design collaboration between Zecc Architects and designer Roel van Norel in Dwell magazine, the house itself is outside of Utrecht.
The interior is small, but with the open floorplan, light shaded wood and the glass encasement, the outside filters beautifully inside providing a sense of space and freedom.
